I think i have used about every type of tip up out there at one time,I prefer the frabill artic fire for price and easy use. I use scrap 11/2"blue dow,cut it into circle big enough to fit in a 5 gal bucket cut a slit for the shaft.Really helps slow freeze up. This year gonna try the blu tipz...

    Door Guy

I always try to avoid cutting the door, cutting or notching the header is best if at all possible,if not and door needs to be cut, measure hieght needed, carefully knock threshold off the bottom, cut what is needed off jambs and take an extra 3/16 off door itself and install a door bottom, they do...

    Catfish Rod

I have a pair of each 8'mh king kats and 8'mh glowsticks, I dont get out alot but have been very happy with both, it would be tough to pick one over the other, but maybe abit of an edge to the glowstick for night fishing.I also have a 10' king kat for paddlefish also works very well!

    gps question

I have the base model 64, the 64s and 64st offer a few more features, an option to view satelite imagery, and the ability to wirelessly transfer data to compatible devices, being the two biggest. These were features I was not interested in but handy for others. The 64 is very reliable unit...

    Snow shoes

I just spent the afternoon coyote hunting in snow shoes, for a tip, I recommend hurons, over the alaskans. The alaskans (trail) work well in open country but that extra length outfront tends to catch in the cattails and brush ahead of you. I have also made bindings out of innertube, but they dont...

    Handloading 6.5 creedmoor

My son just purchased a 6.5,26" bull barrel with1/8 twist, now to work up a hunting load. He would like to use 140 accubonds. A search of the web has me leaning toward H4350 or H4831sc, with a few giving Varget an Reloader 17 the nod. I know the 6.5 creedmoor has been discussed here often, just...
