    Freezing frogs for bait

    I have been wondering if frozen frogs work as bait for catfish and walleye. Right now I have a spot where I can catch as many frogs as I want. In spring and summer months, though, I struggle to find any. So I was wondering if anyone has a good way to freeze frogs.

    Gun and ammo storage

    I just keep my ammo in metal military ammo cans. Seems to work. As far as guns come, I simply keep them in soft cases with a coating of Rem oil on them.

    Oh I once had a Wienerschnitzel sandwich. It was pretty tasty. And once I made jackrabbit jerky. That was very good as well. I don't care for hossenfeffer. Too much vinegar for me.

    Strangest thing you've ever caught...

    While fishing the Red I caught a coil off a stove once. Also, I caught a crayfish on a worm. My brother caught a frog on a worm.

    Eating Drum from the Red

    Drum are nothing special on the table. They don't taste bad, but eating them gets old fast..... In cold water though, just about every fish tastes good so I would keep them then.

    I love to eat jackrabbit and frogs legs. If I have any frogs left over after catfishing I like to fry em in butter. Bullheads are very good when you catch them before July. Ate carp once and I don't think I will ever try it again. It tasted like a muddy chicken.;:;badidea

    What is your favorite fish to eat? Personally I like pike caught through the ice with sauger/walleye in second and catfish close behind.

    Breaking in a shot gun

    It probably won't hurt it if you don't use trap loads fist, but I would run them through it first anyway just to get used to the gun and make sure everything is working properly.

    Everyone seems to have different sizes of fish that they keep. I know some people that keep every size of walleye from 13 inchers to 30+ inchers and say they all taste great. On the other hand, I also know people who only keep fish from 15-19." I am interested to hear what size you guys keep for...

    Grand Forks Catfishing?

    For bait, Try frogs or fresh cut sucker and use at minimum a 2 oz no roll above a snell of 8-10 inches with a circle hook. Use the least amount of weight that will keep you from drifting. I like size 8/0 for the circle hooks. Also, take a sturdy rod holder. Otherwise...;:;banghead

    What is the biggest freshwater fish you've ever caught? Mine is a 41" 19.38 lb northern.
