    Another winter storm

Went yesterday - believe I saw V out there. But being the celebrity he is, he was surrounded by peeps in deep discussion, so I decided not to introduce myself!

    Flicker Minnow

I pull 5s and 7s till about July, then start upsizing to 9s and 11s until mid September...then switch back to the 7s. The fish will let you know what they want for sure. Flicker minnows my fav crank to pull...run true right out of the package...inexpensive...super easy to swap out.

    XL vs XLT?

The new XL/STX trim package includes much more standard features than they used to. In 2014 bought a new XL/STX trim with the 5.0 - ran it for almost 7 years...zero issues/great truck. In 2021 got a new XLT with the 5.0, but considered another XL/STX. Would have had zero reservations getting...

    Sakakawea Water Level 2020

^^ That don't sound encouraging Allen! Assume that a few large moisture makers over the next 90 days in MT and ND could help tho right?

    Sakakawea Water Level 2020

If I'm reading that map correctly Allen, appears the MT snowpack in good shape. Encouraging for the Missouri and Yellowstone runoffs no?

    State of NDA

Spot on Cat...I did my part Saturday on the Bon...Walter did not cooperate but man what a nice afternoon! V is right, dog days of winter start to wear on everyone. Plus, don't know about anyone else, but far as I'm concerned, mother nature owes us a damn early nice spring after that shizzle she...

    Bismarck?

They have a pretty well rounded menu now - homemade pizzas and soups kinda their specialty IMO but the wife and I just like the small feel to it...great service.

    Emily Eckroth

Gents - folks spending alot of energy on this thread. This woman made a mistake - let the justice system do it's job. Honestly, I wake up every day and thank the Lord I'm a North Dakotan. In the big picture, seems to me our local governments (state/county/city) are far and away more transparent...

    Portable fish houses

Bought the Eskimo Sierra Thermal this year - loading into the truck is not an issue...pulling it around by hand is another story. With all the gear in the sled, sure its more than 100 pounds. Even with the runners on the bottom, sucker is tough to pull with any amount of snow on the ice. But the...

    F-150/2.7 Ecoboost

Believe a few months ago had a similar thread going about these engines. I bought a 2014 F150 with the 5.0, then last year bought a new 2021 with the 5.0. Buddy that works as a service manager for Ford has always said if you buy new every 2-4 years you've got nothing to be concerned about with...

Pittbull breed, what do you think?

Stumbling in on a thread conversation about Pitbull butt plugging...PRICELESS!

    O Darling - 1/7/2023

Actually tough to tell from all the snow on top...trucks and wheelhouses out everywhere. Would guess close to 20 inches of ice tho, but if you fish east side of the lake unless you follow plowed path would need trax.

    O Darling - 1/7/2023

Ran up to Darling for a few hours Saturday afternoon - Spillway ramp area. Set up about 330 - fished till 530. Cut holes in 20 fow up to 13 fow. They started biting just before 5 - ended up catching 6, kept 3 ok size eaters. Fishing on the east side of Darling obviously heavy snow - but it is...

    More Snow Next Week?

Right on Allen - sure we'll get a few more rounds of snow before spring!
  17. ndfinfan

Will all this snow raise water elevation?

I do believe Sakakawea's level is mostly impacted by the inflows from the west, but a "heavy" winter can't be a bad thing for all the ND lakes/sloughs.

    New Boots

Got a pair of Mucks this year...super comfortable/walked half a mile on the ice first time I wore them. Only need 1 pair of socks...feet stay warm. We'll see how they hold up...so far so good.

    Electric Ice Auger Recommendations

Can't go wrong with the SM 40v or 24v. I bought the 40v 3 years ago - have cut through 35 inches of ice...20 holes in one day on 1 charge.
