    Freak accident. (Understatement)

If this happens again just tell your friend, or whatever stranger comes to your aid: “May the forceps be with you” in your best Obi Wan voice.

    Bear Spray

“Defense of Life and Property”. Ultimately it’s means the bear got kiltified. We Caribou hunted the N Slope of AK in ‘11. When we got back to camp we found out that a bear had been DLP’d about 5-6 Mi upriver from use by another group. We didn’t ever see or hear a bear.

    Buying a boat.

Yep, if you're putting on a lift for the majority of the summer in MN, you'd best have MN registration. Yes, MN DNR will look under your awning/lift-cover.

Winchester Black Talon or Remington "Something Else"?

    Crankin Sak

I rarely pull cranks BELOW 2.5MPH.

    Minnkota Spot Lock

I'll admit it, I hate a full twist or anything greater. I turn off the spot-lock, spin the motor quick and re-lock.

    Crankin Sak

    Diawa Sealine. and 10/2 Power-Pro.

    Brush Gun

You'd think that, but, unfortunately it's more often about projectile performance through brush than it is about "handling characteristics". .308 and 30-06 180gn Round Nose are in every N MN convenience store for a reason...........

    Brush Gun

Looks pretty doggone stable for 0 imparted spin.

    Bigger Walleye Tactics

Yeah but you’re 300 years old so that’s only 1 every 3 years. Blind squirrel/Nut. ;:;popcorn

    2 stroke vs. 4 stroke

1st thing I'd do is pull the hood off and see if it says "Yamaha" on the block somewhere. The early Merc 4-strokes had Yamaha tops and Merc mid/lower units.

    Smoking Chicken with Skin

Get temp to 400-450 for the last 7-10 degrees (finish internal temp of 165). the chicken w/the crop-top and exposed midriff is an Amish chicken from a butcher shop. The chicken w/the ankle-length dress and exposed partial breast is of the KDM variety. Both beer-canned on the BGE.

My Wife and I made it to 20 years!!!

I was going to write a War and Peace length irreverent post regarding this subject. Something akin to the old Friars Club Roasts. Instead, let me just offer a heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to you both!!

    boat issue: what's causing it?

The couple of times I've had that issue it's been with the bow switch being corroded not the throttle or engine mounted switch.

    Good Steak Factoid

Up to ~2" thick I'm of the "sear hot/fast and finish indirect" school of thought. I also do the same for whole-muscle wild game roasts on the grill. For something like Prime Rib or a whole NY Strip roast I prefer to Reverse Sear. I think the single-flip is more about leaving the doggone...

    Track System

My boat came w/Traxtech, I have no experience w/any of the others. Mine have been trouble-free since 2015 when I bought the boat. I use Ram rod holders in them for everything from a dead-stick while I'm jigging to trolling bigger deep-diving cranks and I've never had a rod-holder move in the...

    Lund transom

This is from 2015. Crestliner, not Lund but of course both ARE Brunswick. This was completed in the New York Mills Lund facility: thats what they charged me on a 9yr old boat that was always inside except for the days I fished.

    Tent recommendations.

Teepees weren't made out of canvass. They were made out of animal hides. Therefore while the shape of the structure you posted might be considered "classic", that product is not. Wstnodak, probably try to find a Yurt. People will think you're outdoorsy and know your shit if you tell them you...
