    Probably only need to smoke for an hour, maybe two max. You can use about the same temp as the dehydrator if you want 160-180. Be sure to put the meat strips on the rack and let them sit there and dry a couple hours for the pellicle to form--this is key when using real smoke.

    They are. You call them up and they send you new lines and a new grommet for the gas tank. Free of charge.

    The early Solo engines were shipped with lines that were not for cold weather use and they would shrink and leak. You can call Stikemaster and they will send you 2 new lines as well as a new grommet for the gas tank. Or you can just go buy new quality lines and that should do the trick as well.

    Lots of fishing logs you can download online. Along with what you stated you want more specific information on the type and depth of structure you were fishing, wind speed and direction, and moon/sun phase.

    Steel for pike. Like what was said above....not really picky eaters. For musky I use 150 lb. fluorocarbon leaders except for walk-the-dog style baits where I still use solid wire.
