    Green Heads

I don't recall a single bird that crowed when flushed in the last two years.

    Green Heads

Possibly. Anyone else notice that roosters don't seem to crow anymore when flushed?

    NDA Ice Bonanza

I really can't stress enough that NO ONE WILL CATCH ANY FISH if we use the Bullhead Tourney rules (fishing from 11am-3pm) at Audubon.

    Green Heads

Probably wouldn't work well. In my experience, evening hunts are more miss than hit because the birds seem to come back to roost after sunset. This time of year, they will only leave the roost once a day and won't fly around much just because so you would have to bust the roost in the dark and...

    Rescue Cost

I picked up on that.Just wanted to answer your question. The times that those "out" fires get away is when people get REALLY pissed at us. For putting fires out, overkill is underrated.

    Rescue Cost

E, there has been way more than one fire that was "out" that came back up and wreaked havoc. Once they are on the road, we generally won't be called off until at least one unit is there and sees it for themselves.

    Rescue Cost

I understand that Guy but I signed up wanting to just be a volunteer. I never expected any compensation. Didn't even know there was a stipend until I was about 4 months in. It's hard to explain I guess. I was just one of the guys that responded. There were many more that didn't respond but were...

Muck Arctic Pro or Arctic Sport

I have the Sports and I have to be sitting still outside in really cold weather for quite some time before my toes get cold. My face and fingers will usually force me indoors before my feet will.

    Green Heads

There is different geographical units involved. As for the week gap, I have no idea.

    Rescue Cost

I can see your guys' arguments. I see the other side too. Discretion would be needed I guess. I responded to a good size fire over the summer. Afterwards the landowner contacted Chief and asked for the names and addresses of everyone that responded. That's fine, its technically a matter of...

    Rescue Cost

Some days I would swear 1% is pretty optimistic.

    Rescue Cost

I guess depending on the type of situation, maybe it could be warranted. But.....I don't want someone not to call for a rescue when they need it because they are scared of what it would cost.

    Rescue Cost

I guess I've never run into it with the Fire Department where we would charge someone to be rescued. Kinda defeats the purpose.

    Menards ice auger

Small engine repair can be frustrating as hell. I'd either pay someone else to fix it or toss it but that's just me. I have enough shit to work on as it is.
