    I think you only need a res tag if you hunt res land, not private land located on the res.... Ive never purchased one and didnt have any problems shooting on private land on the res.

    So Im confused why taking lands away from the feds and making them state is a bad thing. Wouldnt it make access to the lake easier? Why do you think these lands would end up in private hands? I dont see any reason to think they wouldnt just be made into state park and probably have accessibility...

    Looks like the jigs might be too hot, you dont want a lot of paint, its just a waste and doesnt look as good. Fish dont care tho....

    I dont see the point personally, but I dont often crank in more than 12 feet of water. Let the line out till you start bouncing bottom occasionally, then reel it in a bit and you are good. Maybe for fishing salmon with leadcore or something it might be helpful tho....
