    Steel Target Fabrication

I paid $70 for an 8 inch plate in Jamestown, then found much cheaper on Amazon. I bought the $99 with frame from Cabelas, but the frame was flimsy. I used 5/8 inch rod and used map gas to heat and bend it. Then went to Macs and purchased tempered chain. I set up 4, 6, 8, and 10 inch 1/2 inch...

    What is this fish?

Well pheasants and zebra mussels are different types of invasives. Most of us on here are invasives. Apples are ok invasives, but leafy spurge not so much.

    More global warming foolishness

On Drudge today: Years ago the vegans complained about the energy requirement for beef. Don't these people understand that cattle graze where growing crops is not an option. Either you can't get farm machinery in, or the soil is to fragile to not have a continuous cover crop of grass. What...

    Vehicle rifle mount

Those were absolutely great. Mine you took off the visors and mounted it, then mounted the visors to the bottom of it. It had about a two inch lip so people looking in didn't see anything. With one rifle there was still room for binocs and spotting scope.

    Treasure hunters

Davey C. I bought a MineLab from a company in Florida. I think it was around $750 and came with a free coil for gold searching. Oh and a very small hand held for pinpointing in a hole. It beeps a low tone for iron and the more dense (or was it electrical conductivity) the object the higher...

    December 7th 1941

Same here, but looming down into those sunken ships made it more real to me than the modern structure above water. That had to be a terrible ordeal.

Deer have direct role in death of Minnesota moose

It's only theory if your wrong. Liberals elect liberals who appoint liberals at the top of government departments who dictate to the peons below them. Some are smart enough to blame the politicians, others blame the peons. Sort of like our legislature and out Game and Fish. We either get...

Deer have direct role in death of Minnesota moose

Comrad your expecting way to much out of the liberal brains in the Republic of Minnesota. I feel sorry for the rural folks being ruled by the two large cities.

    Favorite Kind of ice shelter

My wife bought me an Ice Castle when I retired. Most years I don't make it out more than one or two times and that's in an insulated hub. I have a 7x7 Black Ice that I use most, but I also have a Clam 1660 mag insulated. I have not fished out of the Clam, but I have been very comfortable...

    Smoke pole

There are better ways to limit the muzzy than limiting in-lines. There have been forms of in-lines going back to 1835. Perhaps a better term is direct fire because the underhammers were a direct fire. Colorado the last time I was there didn't allow sabots. You had to use round ball or a Maxi...

    God's Plan for Seniors

My brother always says he is going to find the guy who coined the phrase "Golden Years" and choke the crap out of him. I guess a ripped up shoulder, torn up knees and cancer will give you an attitude.

    Weather Calls.........

Started out a little sloppy at 5:00am at 30 degrees. It's 27 now and snowing. I went to Pipestem to watch for a coyote, but visibility was about 700 yards when it got light enough to see, and 500 yards when I left. The rangefinders would only to 158 yards and 200 yards. Sig and a Swaro...
