    Towing question

What exactly are you wondering about? Are you curious as to why you give a shit about what anyone else drives? Because, I am.

    RV roof winter maintenance.

Isn't mouse-proofing a camper kind of a fool's errand? One of the easiest places for them to gain access is right up the front jacks on a fifth wheeler. They lead right into the front storage on mine and I know darn well mice can climb those jacks.

    Early Fall?

Seems like we're right on track at my place. Doesn't mean I am prepared for it though, summer is just too damn short around here when it starts in June.

    Archery Mule Deer

On cooler mornings you will tend to see the mule deer on east or south facing slopes. As the day wears on and heats up, start concentrating more on the shaded slopes. Mule deer are peculiar critters. I've watched them bed down only for me to get there after an hour long sneak to find an...

    Anyone power wash their sidewalk?

Shale is a very common stone in our run of the mill gravel pits. I don't know of any quarries in ND that harvest igneous rocks and crush it, all of the gravel in ND is simply mined and size sorted by screening. Airport runways and other high value infrastructure often use aggregate that is...

    RV roof winter maintenance.

Thirsty, not hot. I like to use mothballs, but those SOB are really smelly. If you use them to keep the mice away, and they REALLY do work, I suggest placing them on a small piece of cardboard to absorb the liquid phase of the smelly stuff. They will really absorb into anything capable of...

    Anyone power wash their sidewalk?

And...I strongly recommend sealing your concrete around here. Concrete is not waterproof and the aggregate used in ND has a LOT of shale in it. That means water soaks into the shale. The problem with that is shale and concrete have vastly different pore space. This is why you see spalling...

    Frog Invasion

How the hell does a garter snake kill and eat an adult toad, something the size of a grown man's fist?

    Frog Invasion

I haven't run across any toads outside of Lincoln, but I've seen a few in town itself. Frogs though, they are aplenty at my place. The funny part is just how far I'm seeing them away from the pond. They're way out in the tall grass where I have only rarely run into them before.

    New record Zander

There is also concern with whether or not they would spawn with walleyes and sauger, creating yet another hybrid. This dilution of the the genetics in the wild is generally frowned upon by wildlife biologists and managers of fisheries.

    Operating Drones for Profit

Had a drone buzz me while out fishing the river last spring. When it got about 40-50 ft away, there was a loud voice in my head that I now needed to bring the shotgun with on my next fishing trip.

    Guys with a Yeti....

If I could afford a Yeti, I'd cut a small hole in the top so I could put my garden hose in it. I figure if I just let a small trickle of water going into it, I could use the ice it makes to keep my bigger Igloo and Coleman coolers supplied with ice.
