    Yakima ski/snowboard racks (A button-down 4 or 6) work great for hauling long rods. They don't however, keep the bugs off.

    You'd be rich. Make them out of square T304L tubing, and make a LOT of them. - - - Updated - - - Wonder if it would be dumb to drill some holes and put some bolts through them? Nice grippy bolt-heads. That tape, in the weather and water, is eventually going to start peeling off.

    Aww, you guys are funny. I shoulda done all that, and more. Nobody would have gotten out of their trucks to stop me. I walked up to about 3 or 4 of the trucks, and asked the occupants (through a window rolled down about 1/8") if the boats were theirs. I gave up after a few tries...

    I kinda felt dumb when 20 minutes later the storm had passed, and this old boy gets out of his pickup whining, and says "why all the drama?". I was still hot, and told him there wouldn't have been drama if he'd not parked his boat ON the ramp. Rant over.
