    Yup, guilty , The plastic ones had built in sensors. when they got louder that the person next to you talking you dunked them. I still have my dads coveted 600 or 606 , The only piece of fishing equipment that was off limits to me. Pa has been gone for 16 years and I still don't use it.

    Had one that was close to 20# close to the boat in the early 80s , I about crapped when I saw how light he was hooked and he decided to swim away , there were quite a few big ones being caught back then but the fishing pressure was crazy too.

    Iv'e never tried 12 volt shocking but I have an inverter and 110V will have them out in about 30- 45 seconds. It's gotta be real wet for shocking them out.
