    I like to entertain the kids and grand kids with things they don't do in the city, One thing I want to do over the 4th is make a couple big meals over an open fire . I have everything but the menu, What have you done that was a hit ?

    It's a fun and rewarding hobby but never quit thinking about an easier way. I can relate to your working 12 hour days then coming home to a garden that needed weeding then when the weekend rolls around your garden keeps you from going fishing. It got to be too much and It burned me out...

    I think laying strips of weed barrier between the rows would work slick If you got the good stuff and threw enough dirt on it to hold it down. you could roll it up in the fall and reuse it again the next year. I'd try it if I didn't dislike snakes so bad but that stuff is a snake magnet...

    One important thing is when you tighten the bearing spin the wheel till it starts to drag then back it off to the next cotter pin notch.

    My garden looks pretty shabby too but give them a few weeks of long sunny days and they will come around.. Some of it didn't come out of the ground very fast but What's been up for a while is starting to perk up.

    I'd dare say 99% of boat trailer bearing failure is from air space, AKA not "full" of grease . The same thing as this egg trick happens when you back your trailer in the water with warm hubs. If the hub is full of grease there's no room for water.

    I went with Sunflowers this year and I think they are going to be dandy . It was wet up here so I broadcast them and pulled a One way. I am surprised to see them coming up even where it was sod on the outside of the plots. First time ever for flowers so I didn't know what to expect
