    Direct TV/ATT

Yup. Has happened to me twice now. I even had the local cable scheduled to come before cancelling in an attempt to help me resist their tactics. Didn't work.

    elk pack out

You'll never haul an elk + camp out in 1 trip, with 2 guys, 5-8 miles in. Not legally anyways. Here are some averages on elk quarters from a butcher shop: front quarter bone in - 36 lbs front quarter boned out - 28 lbs hind quarter bone in - 66 lbs hind quarter boned out - 58 lbs Misc (neck...

    Handheld GPS Shopping

Scheels has the Garmin 64st on sale for $230. Regular price is 350. I just picked one up, and with my very limited experience so far, I can already tell I like it waaay more then my touch screen Oregon 450. I would never buy another touch screen GPS.

    Spotting Scope Recommendations

Regarding straight vs angled. I moved from a straight to angled spotter and i will NEVER go back. My glassing time on the ground vs pickup is probably 20:1, or more. For the little I do use it in the pickup, rotating the body so it operates similar to a straight hasn't been a problem. - - -...

    Bee Stinger Stabilizer

This is true.....Just like packs, boots or anything else for that matter. Find what works for you.... I would rather not have the weight on my bow, but I'm certain that it helps me shoot better so I deal with it. - - - Updated - - - I've really come to appreciate this...

    Bee Stinger Stabilizer

I run an 8" with the Stinger angled down Quick Disconnect. So i'ts more like a 9" stabilizer, with a 10 degree downward slope. I also have it set up so it kicks slightly left of riser (opposite side of quiver for me). The bow balances great, and shoots great. The debate between an 8 or 10"...

Buying a smoker - need help

True, those tubes work for cold smoke. But the cold smoker attachment can also be used for hot smoking. One big downfall with the MES is the factory wood chip holder is dinky and needs to be refilled often. With the attachment you dont have to babysit the wood supply.

Buying a smoker - need help

For your intended uses, and price range, I would pick up a Masterbuilt Electric 40" smoker for $300 https://www.farmandfleet.com/products/941736-masterbuilt-40-sportsman-elite-electric-digital-smoker.html?feedsource=3&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-d-7g4XI1QIVx42zCh02CAaYEAkYAiABEgJpxPD_BwE Then i would...

    New to smoking

I would burn a load of coal in it first to be on the safe side. I usually try to keep top vent wide open and control pit temp with the bottom vent but more times then not I need to dampen down the top vent also if I want a specific temp. If you cook beef ribs to 145 they will suck. Usually...

    Mule Deer Hunt Planning

Never heard of this Birdseye thing until now. That does look like the cats ass. So you get satellite imagery as well as TRAX info on the same map? Does the TRAX shade over the satellite imagery with different colors of private vs public? Got a screenshot? thanks Never been a fan of using the...

    Need a little help

The Bug-A-Salt 2.0 is junk. At least with table salt. It wont even kill flys. Haven't tried a coarser salt yet. Maybe the 3.0 will be better. Can't go wrong with the Coors though....

    There off

Thanks!! I have been tossing this idea around for a couple years. I have an old barn that is missing most of it's East wall. It has power, and it currently not used for anything. My food plot and some cover butt right up to it on the east side. It would be perfect to raise them in the barn and...

    There off

Where does one source birds in ND? And what is the cost per bird? Also, what is the cost/work that goes into keeping them through the Winter to release in the Spring? Ideally a pen in a barn or outbuilding would be needed? What about a heat source and water? I have cats and coyotes in the yard.

    Plans for the 4th

Had a cousin get married in the cites over the Fourth one year. It was supposed to be a big family deal. I used work as an excuse to get out of it, then went to the lake where my family was usually at and enjoyed the place mostly to my self.....I'm going to hell. But so are the people who have...
