    Pick up a nice 270, 308 or 30-06 put a good scope on it and you're good to go hunt anything in the US. Ammo is easy to find anywhere you go and won't break the bank buying it on sale.

    I'm also no expert but sounds like a toe catch. It's happened to me before, try setting your pan tension heavier that way the coyote has to put more weight on it to set the trap and should catch the pad instead of the toe.

    Only my brother drew a tag this year, he and my dad and I went out on opener and he was able to tag out on a non typical buck on the second day on our farm. I have no idea how to post pictures to this site though

    Dogs are legal in ND for recovery, the law is new this year. I believe there's a tracking dog organization someone else on here may know more about that, I bet someone out there could help

    If you have access to a dog that's your best bet. If not the Best advice I can give is to start making circles starting where you shot her and gradually spread out until you find blood.

    Deer Meat

    I don't see why it's so hard to believe, not every deer will yield that much but a few years back I ended up with 68 lbs of meat off my buck after trimming. It can be done if one is not super picky.
