I use 24D amine 400 and it works great tried some of more robust Farm chemicals my cousin is a rep I learned my lessen the hard way. This you can go 4 oz per gallon no problems on grass or flowers i do try to spray on no windy day and control tip width spray i really hate pulling weeds.

How long after spraying should you wait to mow? Want to make sure the chemical is all the way to the roots before cutting the leaves off.

48 hrs is the rule of thumb. I usually mow 24-36 hrs before I spray. Right or wrong :;:huh

tsc bismarck has amine 400 2.4d, bought some last nite
I found some of this at Farm Home Supply in Bismarck on Main and I noticed the concentrations are different. Lycans has 86% of the 2,4-D active ingredient where the Amine 400 has I believe 48% of the active ingredient. But it still shows 1oz per gallon of water for the Amine 400.

I wouldn’t mow before. My understanding is they absorb chemical through their leaves

Farmer buddy told me 85 degrees is the hottest you want to spray. They quit taking in at that temp

Thats because his is LV6 which is a more concentrated blend. It just means you use less chemical. LV4 is the same thing but it takes a little more chemical. Also those are Esters which are more volatile and I wouldn't use in town or anywhere near vunerable plants.

Even dangerous if applied at low temps, like 60f or less? How about when its more windy? Id assume the windier it is, the less time vapors will linger on specific plants. Also Im spraying individual weeds, not broadcast spraying the entire yard, should use a lot less chemical.

Go to your local agronomy center to buy it in 1 gallon or 2.5 gallon jugs, it’s a hell of a lot cheaper then any garden/hardware store or a place like Menards/Lowes/Home Depot/Running’s.

Keep it from freezing and shake it up when you use it.

I spray all spring, summer, fall as it keeps the weeds from going to seed.
