Good luck to the die hards going to be frigid cold on Saturday which wouldn't be a traditional derby if it wasn't.

39th annual.Kinda sucks to admit I have been a raffle prize loser all these years as I think i have bought a ticket most every damn year! I bought a ticket again this year so perhaps this is the year! So i am saying i have a chance. May hit the ice for the fishing part..for a bit anyway.Good luck all!

It was on my bucket list for a long time and I finally went last year. Needless to say, I will not be going again unless it's above freezing. Great derby, but I would rather sit in a shelter with the heater on and fish all day.

I hope you guys are joking here, hopefully the devils lake guys can confirm that the winning fish are put on a plaque. I maybe wrong here but not sure, so putting weights in fish wouldn't work out

Cold temps kept bunches of folks from venturing out on the lake. Committee persons stated around 2300 ppl were on lake fishing. That is about 1/2 of usual. Minus 35 windchill kept most from braving the elements.
