Damn, that's NUTS!

With that combo I've killed several coyotes, a black bear, a pronghorn, lots of whitetails, 2 mule deer, and a cow elk. That 100n pill kills way bigger than it is.

I would say your tune is more .45/70 or 7.62: All public transit; ZERO whimsical precision.

Anything under a 7mm rem mag is like pissing into the wind for deer. Just not enough knockdown power....

Anyone know where i can buy some low recoil rounds for my .338? I have a little cousin who wears glasses that needs to borrow my .338 for his youth deer hunt.

Are you one of them professional gun writers?:)

Zero precision? The bullet's got a damned name on it, how much more precise do you think it oughta be?

thanks for replies guys. Thinking I'll be liking this gun....if I can find something to shoot at!

A small white rock at 300 yards and a 25-06 are as good as it gets for the sheer feel of quickness, accuracy and power. I had a favorite one in a hillside on backroad home from work that I practiced on till I couldn't miss. Always had a 4 man crew and I hustled like a pool player with my 25-06 and that rock. Double or nothing was the funnest.

I've used my Browning A bolt 25-06 off and on for the last 20 years on deer. Love it! Longest shot was a double lung shot on a muley doe lased at 420 yards. She only ran ~20 yards before piling up.
