I have had Haralson apple trees for years. My dad had them for years also. Great apples and good producers. I planted a couple more new Haralson and a couple Honeycrisp. The Honeycrisp trees are smaller and grow way less per year. At least at my house anyway.

Wodarz (North Dakota heirloom that is available), Zestar, Haralson, Chestnut crab (excellent eating, slightly small than a tennis ball) and Redant (Canadian heirloom). St. Lawrence Nursery is an excellent source of fruits with over 200 apple varieties. Located in a zone 3 spot in NY. Whip size, bare root. Ship well, transplant very well. They also have nut trees, other fruit trees and more.

Haralson apples x2
Very winter hardy tree and I like their crispyness flesh and taste. Maybe not as sweet as a honeycrisp but still very good
haralson are the gold standard for pies IMO, I dont like them fresh too much, a little tangy for me, but you cant beat them in a pie.
