The old yellow forms went into boxes to be kept for 7 years. You’ve got to be an idiot to think that a registry wouldn’t be created once they switched it to online. I too couldn’t care less if they know what I have. The fact is 99.999% of gun owners operate legally and responsibly and have little to fear. Firearms are founded on solid ground in our constitution. Making them illegal is unlikely. Confiscation even more unlikely and logistically difficult.

Don’t do dumb shit and you’ll be OK. Prevent others from doing dumb shit too. If that means a red flag law we may have to live with that compromise. While we can’t eliminate some potential people from doing dumb shit, our solid grounds will eventually be eroded. There’s a pile of people out there who have no use for firearms. They could rule if we keep thinking firearms are a free for all and try to prevent any small safeguard from going into place. Including a registry.
This is one place I won’t compromise. Red flag laws don’t work we have enough laws as it is and for some reason criminals don’t follow them. Enforce the laws on the book to the fullest extent of the law. The 2nd amendment is clear what its intent is.

Everyone is so scared of red flag laws being turned on them. I get the fear but all it is going to take is a few success stories of them and we’re screwed. We can either craft them ourselves or worse yet let the antis craft them for us with a couple happy stories. As much as I hate it I think we have a choice to make.

Ok I will concede one red flag law. If your a tranny you can’t have guns. They will have to ratify the constitution in don’t see that happening

I am far from a conspiratorial kind of person, but I wonder if Aussies and our neighbors to the north might have thought similarly just 20 years ago?

If there were ONE issue to push us over the edge to violence, it would be attempted firearms confiscation.

It would get real ugly, real fast!!
Got your range card and sectors of fire sketch ready so I know where to dig my foxhole in your yard? Or can we just shoot them out the upstairs window like Waco? I'll dig a foxhole in anyone's yard.

Im sure just as many of Us will resist this as we did the clot shot.
Plenty of people resisted that shot and masks. I wore a mask one time and that was because I had to fly. Otherwise, if I walked into somewhere that required a mask and they wouldn't let you in, I said fine I'll give my business to some place with common sense. Went into Scheels in Fargo without a mask. My daughter and I were the only ones and nobody said a word. Got some bad looks but nobody opened their mouth.

So you are saying a gun registry issue does not belong on a outdoors site ? This was brought on by a agenda driven ATF. two people brought politics into this
I am not saying that at all. This is a political top intertwined with the outdoors, so yes it does belong here, but it can still fall into the political section because the ATF encompasses all firearm related issues, not just a hunters rights to own guns.

The topics that frustrate the majority on here is when a thread is hijacked with left vs right BS and arguing amongst members because they're guy, or they're party, is the only correct guy/party.

I agree with you that this is an agenda brought on by the ATF that is run by the TRUMP administration. These are the same arguments and fears we were having under the BIDEN administration (and other admins in the past).

We need to wake up as a country and stop being so short sighted. The people who want to take our guns aren't worried about our reaction to this registry, it's already a task completed and they moved on from that a long time ago. They're planning years, possibly decades ahead to take our guns and slowly working their way towards that plan.

Instead, our generations are obsessed with social media, gaming, and AI. All great distractions from the real agenda.

Not where I'd like to be

Um... the "red flag laws" are the erosion.
If you don't think they have and will be used against law abiding citizens for any number of arbitrary reasons, then you're blind to the evil that lives in the hearts of most humans. Ignorance is bliss... until it costs you your freedoms.
