Why do the high schools have to hold the graduations on the holiday weekends, ruins more 3 day weekends in my life than rain has ever done.

Its a pain. His graduation is on Sunday, but Fri and Sat ND high schools have the state track meet in Bismarck which we will be at.
Looks like Monday is my only free day to fish:(

Meh... It's just a high school graduation. It's really not a great as its hyped up to be. Fishing on the other hand....:::

All joking aside, we would love to have any of you come out for any of the tournaments. In fact, the June 4th tournament at Tschida is our Club Camping Weekend. Just as the title implies, we all camp out as a group for that event. The club will reserve sites (so no cost to you if you are a member) that are grouped up next to each other so we can all park campers and tents. Most of us will get there on Friday, then fish the tournament Saturday. After the Saturday tournament, the club will cook up some burgers and hot dogs (along with whatever else other members decide to bring to the potluck) and then we will have a ladderball tournament. Sunday morning will be another tournament on Tschida and we are planning to have this one as a Major League Fishing style event (every bass over 12" counts; weigh it immediately then release it) but that is still up in the air.

If anyone has any questions about the club or any tournaments, feel free to message me.

Still_lesrning have you guys ever fished Harmon Lake north of Mandan? Just wondering cause I gave it a whirl a few years ago and we did get a few but never really got into them. Curious if you or any of your members have had much luck up there for bass?

We've never fished a tournament there but some of us from that area have been on that lake. I haven't been on it but I know of 3 or so people that have and I've received mixed reviews. One guy loves it and another guy says its just a pike-fest. Everyone says that there are a good number of 12" or smaller largemouths in there though. I keep wanting to go but never have made the trip. When I make the treck down to the Bismarck area, I always end up over at McDowell Dam.

Yeah unfortunately the game and fish did not get a full kill of the creek before it filled so ended getting pike and bullheads in it. That doesn't mean it sucks but definitely limits how good it can get and I hate having to use leaders well bass fishing especially top water so that holds me back from there. If a little distance doesn't bother you fish creek has some good bass in there. It can be a challenge sometimes getting past the little bass but that's not the worst problem to have. She's very low right now so not sure how that will effect the bass but normally it's a good thing when they get concentrated.

I've only been to Fish Creek once and that was back in 2013. I had a lot of fun on that lake considering we didn't catch anything over 2 pounds. It was really fun catching largemouth on one cast and smallmouth on the next cast. I'd definitely go again.

And the distance isn't really a problem to me. That's the major drawback of being a bass angler in ND. You really have to travel if you want to experience what the state has to offer. My favorite largemouth lake is probably Sheep Creek and that's nearly 4 hours from me.

Not the best of planning for the tschida tourney this year. There is a 60 boat walleye tourney on the 4th out of North shore, so you might want to launch out of public beach.

Good to know. I'll pass that word along.

Yea it stinks, I was planning on fishing yours until I saw the date. Fished once before and had a good time.
That major league fishing format would be fun as well.

They are still in there but there's not a great population of them. I'll give it a try this summer. Maybe they are doing better this year.

I'm not sure where they were introduced but I know that there is a decent population in Oahe. If that's where they were introduced, I'd say they must have came up River from there.
