I am really wondering about this weight, we have caught plenty of 19" smallies in that area and even that lake and to get over 6lb is pushing it maybe 6.5lb. Previous record was 21.5" full of eggs. Unlike this case the previous record was inspected by the game and fish, cool he released it but I don't necessarily find that legal/ethical especially for a state record. Doing the Jason Mitchell pose with it doesn't help.
