Just curious. What are the big differences between the Heat Hog and Big Buddy? Looks like Btu's are the same?I have a few friends that run the diesel heater and they love them. I bought the Heat Hog a couple years ago and have not used my buddy heater since.
Sounds like some good features. What's weird is that I abuse my Big Buddy, never clean it, haven't changed any components, probably using the wrong hose to my 20# cylinder, and the thing just runs like a champ. I've had it for 6 years or more.Heat Hog has a curved plate to distribute heat better, it tilts so you can point it upwards, the grate is more heavy duty, the internal parts are easier to get to. I also found that it takes less care than the buddy. Every fall when I pulled the buddy out of storage, I had had to clean the flame port so it would work. I have not had to do this with the Heat Hog.
