Yeah I went to white on his clue but could only find one pic and that was on pintrest so that raised some red flags on its real source. Did a couple variations on how to search for her and quickly came upon a Snopes article for Betty White and that lead in the right direction to find the real name. It's actually from a color photo shoot for the cover of Glamor.

His real name was Alan Hale Jr. His characters name on the show was Jonas Grumby ( which was used on the pilot episode ) Skipper was his title/nickname
