If a person read the comments on the website i pasted, you will see why china will ALWAYS be inferior when it comes to bulding anything that needs quality control to insure something is built to proper specs. From the material to the workmanship its a dominio effect of failure.

Piping under bridge with controlled valves to release water. Still lighter than running trains under similar traffic lanes. Look at a side view of the Brooklyn Bridge and think about trains as well as traffic crossing the span. (BTW the profile is very narrow yet did not suffer the fate of Tacoma Narrows Bridge).
