Picked up one on Friday, the 7 1/2, they had about 10 left. I wasn't really in the market, but thought the price was right.
I haven't fished hard ice yet this year, but plan on making a trip Thursday, when the temps hit 40* out west here.
at the minot location? I sent my dad in to grab one for me because I was at work and they told him they hadn't received any at that store yet since it's a new store...

this is a sweet deal, but just to be clear it is only for the EXT KDrills. Non extendable KDrills are not covered by this.
Hadn't seen the extendable version yet. Looks like a nice option.

it definitely does look awesome. I tried finding place that might carry it locally but so far I can only seem to find it on a couple places online, one of which is directly from the KDrill folks

That one I picked up at Dickinson Runnings extends from 36-44". The extension just slips in and out of the main drill post.
Still haven't tried it.

Minot Walmart had some hooks and little random fishing things in the clearance section on Saturday. Might be worth the walk in to see if there's anything left. Like $1-$1.50. Pretty nifty. Sorry, would've posted when I was there but didn't know this thread existed. 😬
I got a few things in the bismarck walmarts a few weeks ago, but most of the stuff went fast. They had some mid level rod/reel combo's that were normally like $75 on clearance for $20 each. 50% off will get my attention, but 80% off is where it gets more interesting.

Agreed to some degree, but 80% off good stuff vs. 50% off great stuff carries some weight too. I've got one each of a Loomis Edge spinning rod and baitcasting rod in the cart, both are bass rods on sale from $299 to $199 and the 50% works on top of that. So actually 67% prior to taxes - total pre-sale would've been $599.98 (free shipping, federal excise tax remains the same).

PLUS....I get a $300 wellness benefit at work to spend on whatever I want (except guns, drugs, etc.) so it'll all be free!

Now I need reels to go on sale the same way! Curious on Piscifun Carbon XII for spinning reel, options open on baitcasters.

Thanks for the heads up @5575 ! I'm popping my Loomis cherry!

Officially pulled the trigger. Gonna have to explain why more rods are showing up in the mail lol. It'll be ok. I also popped my cherry on a couple Thorne Bros ice rods and a Tuned Up Custom this year....."What are all the tubes showing up in the mail" lol.....There's a reason I've been married to her for almost 20 years!

All i run anymore for spinning reels is the Piscifun Carbon X. Some the original version and some the II. For the price point, I haven't found another reel that performs anywhere close. I'd put them a full grade above a Pflueger President.

agree, I wouldnt use a $70 combo for a primary rod, but they are great shore fishing rods or for kids or 'extras' in the boat... Dont wanna hand a $300+ combo to someone that might drop it in the water if they get a big fish on the line!

Where are the Piscifun's made? I've never picked one up, and I'm not trying to pick on anyone, I've just experienced better luck w/Japan production vs. anywhere else in the Pac Rim, thus the question.
