For you diesel owners out there buying your pee water by the 55 gallon drum, where are you getting it for a good price? Im tired of dealing with 2.5gal jugs already.

Thanks in advance.

You can order Blue DEf for $299 per 55 gallon drum through Amazon. That includes delivery, but seems expensive compared to the Super Tech brand at WalMart.

Our local co op will let you fill your own container right at the pump as long as you buy 40 gal or more. Bring the receipt to the petroleum office manager and he'll give you the bulk rate.
The little I use in my pickups I just buy the 2.5 gal jugs on sale. I have a self propelled conditioner that uses def. I buy the 2.5 gal jugs at menards when on sale as its just easier and I might not use 40 gal in a year and want to keep it fresh.

I plan to delete my 2014 Ram.

My local runnings normally has 55 gallon barrels of it and I'm guessing any cenex store would have someone who you can talk to about ordering by the barrel

How much do you drive your diesel?

My 2012 gets run almost nothing anymore, just to pull the camper. However when I used it as a daily driver, still never put but maybe 3 jugs a year through it.

6000 miles on it since June 16th and I'm (6) 2.5gal jugs into it already. I'd like to just set a barrel in the garage next to where the fuel door lines up and just pump it in as I need it. Garage is heated in the winter. Next few months it will hardly be driven, so I may have to continue with jugs to establish a better baseline to avoid having anything go bad. I didn't realize that was a thing. I just knew not to let it freeze.

Buy a gas…..seriously.
I've had a 5.4L 1/2ton, a 6.2L 3/4ton, a 3.5 Eco 1/2ton and now this 6.7 diesel 3/4ton, ive never been happier with a pickup my entire life. Other than hunting season, anytime this truck is driven, it is pulling. I have a daily driver SUV that I use otherwise.

Blue DEF at Menards runs about $13.77 on the 11% sale, about $5.51/gal if you will so $303 for a 55gal barrel is pretty on par with that. I'll have to decide how much I like my UPS driver :ROFLMAO:

Talk to anyone who works on diesels and they will absolutely tell you to buy a gas for your daily driver. Too few actually use them how they’re intended. Fact.

Yep, I had a 2009 that was my daily driver for several years. Only a couple of complaints though.
1. Rough riding SOB!
2. Even with a grill cover (factory), it wouldn't really warm up all that well idling in the driveway. It took 15-20 minutes of driving to get it warmed up in the winter. Note: I live 15 minutes from work, so not ideal.
3. You eventually just learn to park at the back of most parking lots.

I never really thought it was an expensive vehicle to maintain. Oil and fuel filter changes were about $340. Oil and fuel filter change on my 2021 is closer to $670, which is insane!
