hoping with the warm temps the snow will settle and allow wheelers with tires to go over the top without breaking through.

Im a part of the vechiles with no tracks club

I was at devils this weekend and we drove pickup in lots of areas, and there was LOTs of pickups with ice castle's out. Examples, creel bay , north end 6 mile , east bay ramp , casino , and few pickups behind pops bar also . I would say that tracks are ideal, especially if you wanna find premium spots, but a pickup is certainly doable, especially after the snow settles and hardens up this week.

How did it go Tikka243 ? I'm hoping to get wheel house on the ice with the pickup and sled it from there.

I will know tomorrow. I did find a snow-scooter to borrow for the day so I will be able to explore a little more

It sounds like woodlands has trails plowed to attract get on the lake with wheel houses

Does anyone know where the big pressure ridges are? I would rather do a little homework now instead of spending half the day figuring out how to get to where I am going? Any info would sure help.

Thinking of heading down tomorrow with wheelhouse . Are there any drivable areas plowed roads that might produce a fish here and there ? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

yep I fished in the same area and saw a few before I got to them and went around. I marked fish often but rarely got a bite.

I would not recommend a pickup on that part of the lake unless you want to spend more time shoveling then fishing
