Through there yesterday on Hwy 57 by the casino and there was open water on the east side. You can kind of see it on the camera.

we were up there last friday with the little boat,
channel a and churches ferry were open, lots of shore fishing from channels a south of hwy 2 we stuck to the north of hwy 2. didn't mark any fish really , didn't catch anything, water temps 37-38 degrees
took a drive around with only little pockets of water open
bridges were open for a ways but mostly ice up to the shore line still along the lake
still quite a few people ice fishing next to shore line on hwy 19.

There is currently a stark contrast in ice coverage from I-94 to Hwy 2. Surprised to see how locked in it still was further north on a drive earlier this week.

Look at the link in the resource section on satellite imagery and you can see devils laike has a long ways to go, even though there was some run off the volume isnt there because of snow melt. Which to me as a person who fishes from shore means water temps could stay lower longer than other years with more run off, also could see less of an algae bloom.
But looking at the satellite image devils lake has a long ways to go looking at the future forecast with nights staying below freezing.
