Considering heading to fish coulees or bridges around Cando/Devils tomorrow. Am I too late or are there still plenty of northerns biting? Just want to bend some rods. Any info would be appreciated.

The walleye bite was really good up north until last Friday (4/26) and then they shut down where we were. Water was going down quickly and a few pike were biting where the walleyes previously had been. Mostly males and it appeared the walleye started the move back south over night. Bridges and channels closer to bigger water would be my advice now. Channel A was awful muddy water in the boat last Saturday fwiw.

Tried mauve coulee last week in my boat using jigs with minnows and never caught one walleye. Current is strong.

Typical slow down after under ice spawn. We need some heat and some warm rains.

You can still whack male eyes. You don’t want the pike up there. They look like a tube sock.
