I can talk to someone through my cameras if I wish.
both styles are on a 2.4g network instead of 5g which all I did was call internet provider and they remote set up my router with a 2.4g wifi. My wifi basement heater is also on 2.4g.
Last January I was in the Philippines and was able to view my cameras from there via my phone. I could tell what time my son came over to feed the dogs and how long he was there as I still received alerts
I have a solar powered one on my garage that has eliminated most of the slowwwww drive byes in the middle of the night, when its triggered the lights flash and cars speed up. some here in town have lost gas from vehicles but so far I haven't.
my solar panel is separate so I can put camera where I want it with in about 10 feet.
I also have another one in front with a different angle (its lower down so it sees under the trees better
