I did not agree with Ed 99% of the time but hey it makes the world go round, and there is the free speech thing to all. Yes he was a showman who knew how to press your buttons and thats how he made his living.

By that logic so did Bin Laden! Now they're not exactly equal but it doesn't change the fact that almost everybody has those same qualifications so it's highly convenient that you pick and choose when you use them. Simple fact was I was just being honest that was the first thing that popped in my head when I saw the article its not like he's making news for any other reason now days other than his pro-putin stance! You ever meet him? Well i did on a couple of occasions and he was a self-absorbed egomaniac who would pick any position so long as it would give him power and a soapbox so he started out a conservative went to Liberal than turned into another conservative / Russian / whatever the freaking hell knows what you want to call him by the end. The guy would run anybody else into the ground if they had a different opinion then him that week and was a jerk who I surely won't shed any tears over and by the looks of the post above not many other people will either. Feel bad for family sure.... but not for him.

Whatever man. I'm just super thankful I'm not like you.

Hmmm I wonder if we will think Hillary was swell after she is gone?????? If I met Ed on the water or in the field I think I may have liked the guy. I don't wish ill on anyone, but politically this nation is better off without him. That's reality. It sure is lucky none of the rest of us get frustrated like Dean. Were all perfect right? It's also good none of us would try make ourselves look good at someone else expense. Yup lucky were all perfect. How easily we get divided.

Dean, I get your frustration and understand the hyperbole. Not for a minute did I take what you said literally. :;:thumbsup

I too disagreed with Ed a lot on his political views, like all other liberal views, after listening to him for many years as the voice of Bison football back in the day. But he was human and had a right to his own views. Did he like to demoralize callers or anyone publically who didn't follow his views, but that was his right as a citizen of the U.S. But as a Christian, we can still pray for the mans soul and hope he saw the face of God when he did pass away. 64 years old is still pretty young these days. Condolences to his family!

one hears about this type of situation all the time - a guy chasing money, power, influence like a type AA maniac - only to die too young to enjoy his golden years

ugh - nightmare scenario as far as I'm concerned

but maybe Ed went happy - who knows - he was simply wired to do what he did and I'll be darned if he didn't do it with gusto

The funny thing about it is, no matter weather you despise the dood or liked him, at some point you listened to him. In the end, he won cause all you guys tuned in at some point or another.

Dude isn't missed by this guy. Sad that death occurred, but he had many enemies as well as stepped on many toes in the Mott area.

Ed was a piece of shyt in life and I'll bet a piece of shyt in death too.
I'm positive his arrogant corpse is trying to get a better deal in hell by trying to claim Heaven is offering him a 3-6pm drive time slot.

Sounds harsh?, not at all compared to the way that asshat treated the living. If he didnt think he could benefit from a person he'd treat his dog better than them.
and that's not saying much.

Pretty gross to wish death on somebody based on their views.

Cant recall much, if anything, that I agreed with Ed about, but differences in views or opinions is hardly a reason to wish or celebrate death on anyone. Or gloat that he died.

All this Christian prayer talk on websites baffles me when I remember from Sunday School many years ago to ask yourself “what would Jesus do, or say?” I doubt he’d jump for joy about any family’s tragedy. One can totally disbelieve in the concept of any GOD but still follow all the great stuff Jesus the man preached. I realize we are all human though, none of us is perfect, especially me.
So lets let Ed Rest In Peace.
