Flat Stanley

He is staying at our place until April 5th and I'm trying to figure out something fun we should do on April fools day. Have any of you Grandpas been here and done this ?

My son brought Flat Stanley home about 20 years ago. We mailed him to family members out of state. We received back all kinds of things from other States that Stanley visited. We got an orange from Florida and some sand from the Atlantic Ocean. I don't recall what over things, because at my age the memory goes first. I do remember my son had fun with the different thing he received back and took to school to show all the different places Stanley visited.

I've had a Flat Stanley show up here at the DBS a few times, sometimes he takes a ride to the lift bridge and tunnel.

My wife is the director of a preschool. We took a trip across europe a couple years ago and Flat Stanley got drug along. Lots of photos for her school kids.

Flat Stanley is corrupt due to his white privilege. Take him to a casino and the protests in Minneapolis to give him some culture.

This is how we met flat Stanley (in a nutshell from our 5 year old grandson.) I like when schools give lessons like flat Stanley.
It's an opportunity to give lessons back , I wish he could stay and help plant garden.


Dear Grandpa and Grandma,
Our teacher read us a book called Flat Stanley . In the story
Stanley was so flat that he could be mailed to a friend in California.
I'm mailing you a flat Stanley . Please take Stanley on an adventure.
Then take pictures, write a letter, and mail Stanly back to me.
We'll read the letters in class and put Stanley on a map marking where he has been.
Please send Stanley back to me May 5,2021.
