Enchilada shells? Do you mean the tortillas?Dipped the shells in the tortilla soup but dont pour the sauce over the finished enchiladas, the sauce will soak into the shell and get crispy. The trick is to use flour shells you have to warm the shells in canola or olive oil first then put shell into sauce add ingredients then cheese on top for the kids, bake till crispy

Makes sense. Soggy is disgusting. Made deconstructed enchiladas a couple times to avoid the sogginess.Oohh. I might have to try that. They're happy with just a cheesy layer. My son has texture issues so if something is soggy, it's a thing.
Thats why you use the flour shell its absorbs the sauce much better then the corn shell. My mom is notorious on skimping on the sauce after they are ready to put into the oven, they are so dry you have to add taco sauce and a glass of water to get them to go down.
