Be careful of 4 other words while you are down there.
Ya wanna get hitched

Hahaha. I actually got married in Vegas almost 15 years ago. It was a fun way to do it and saved a ton of money. Always gives us an excuse to go back. I think Vegas is a very fun city for way more than just gambling these days!

Just got back from Vegas today. We went down there for a concert and then basically winged it from there but had a few things mind we wanted to do.

We did go down fremont street - even though it was cold for nevada standards (50), there were still some interesting sights.

I did the zipline on fremont (actually the zoom line where you lay flat). That was pretty fun.

We stayed at the stratosphere and went up to the top of the tower and did the rides. The insanity is a heck of feeling to be taken out over the edge at 871 feet above the ground and spun around.

The big shot was fun too. We couldn't do the xscream due to her foot injury.

There is also the high roller (giant ferris wheel basically). It takes roughly a half hour to go around but you get a view of vegas from 550 feet at the very top.

The fountain at the bellagio - see it during the day and night.
They also have the botanical garden at the bellagio.

There is the fall of atlantis show inside caesers palace. We caught the last part of it. It's free and something to see.

Plenty of eye candy around.

We used the monorail to go to spots or get back to the stratosphere. Also used the bus to take us to fremont.

insanity ride (not my video)

You could also do the sky jump at the stratosphere.

Only been there a couple times, but last time there we stayed at Aria in the City Center development and that place was amazing. Great food, tons of options, and some good happy hour deals at the little bar right outside there in the mall plaza. We found some $5 tables at Planet Hollywood - good drink service and the Pleasure Pit dealers were nice...

yep - and you will also be nauseated by much of it if you're the "honorable" type

if I never set foot in a casino again I'll be fine with that - that sound, those lights, that smell... it's like listening to women chatter for me

I’ve never been to Vegas, or on a commercial airliner for that matter (I’m on a very exclusive list.) Wife wants to go but all I can think is casinos. I don’t think there’s anything I loath more than a casino. It’s like getting on a plane to “vacation” at a shopping mall.

Yeah not my first choice for spending precious vacation days. Bachelor/Bachelorette party for my sister. Some good advice here though, I had no idea about the rides and other stuff to do besides casinos.

Like everyone else has said, there so much to do, see in Vegas you'll never have enough time to see what you like. My sister over the years racked up points at the MGM Grand that it literally paid for her rooms the next time she went down. She will usually watch what concerts are in Vegas, (usually George Strait) I've been to one of his concerts down there about 5 years ago on my 50th birthday during super bowl weekend, that was fun, but on side note, I almost ended up getting into a fight with a dick at our table at the super bowl party.....lol.....but like they say, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas..right??!

Growing up in AZ we made many weekend trips over to Vegas. Like mentioned you can spend a evening just taking in the free shows on the strip. The tournement of kings dinner show at Excalibur is fun. The roller coaster at New York Ny is fun and a great view. If your interested in going back get a players club card. The first day we are there we witl find a $5 Black jack table and buy $1000 in chips each. I'll usually play with a hundred and set the rest to the side. For points they just look at your buy in and time spent. My rule is i can't loose more than I would have spent on Boose if I had to pay for it. After a few hours you'll be eligible for free meals and shows. You'll also get free room vouchers left and right to get you back there.
