I have a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 3.0 L turbo diesel engine. I took it in to the dealer for the second (15k) oil change. The fuel filter life shows 56% and the service tech suggested that "GMC recommends changing the fuel filter at 50%" so they strongly suggested the filter be changed. Not sure why I would do this when the indicator suggests it should go at least another 7500 miles. Is there a reason that the filter should be changed when it has ~ 50% life left?? Thoughts? Thanks!!
