The new Simonson's station by Menards is 3.99 a gallon for gas, the old one a mile or so north on Broadway is 4.19 a gallon, why??? Because they can and do.

You guys complaining about gas prices, I bet you still buy beef at outrageous prices but don't complain about that, or you do but keep buying it.

Ony way to fix the high prices is STOP buying the expensive things or not complain about them.

So do you want to explain to my wife why she needs to start riding a bike to and from work everyday. I mean come on it is only 40'ish miles with most of it highway and interstate so it should be good going.
I don't count because I have a company vehicle most of the time.

You do realize that these stations have multiple 12K gal plus tanks in which they house the gas/diesel in, right? It'll be cheaper/more expensive at one location vs the other due to whatever was paid for the inventory that's in the ground.

Also, keep in mind that most of the stations in the Bismarck/Mandan area are owned by Parkland Oil....... There is under 5 gas stations that are privately/locally owned in Bismarck/Mandan.

Parkland sold out to Sunoco last year and the last I heard they were trying to off load the stations in ND.

Except when oil goes up even a dime gas in Bis/Man shoots up immediately. In your scenario every station must refill their reserve tanks as soon as it gets more expensive on the same day. Incredibly unlikely. Oh and when oil drops gas stays the same for a month/months. Then if oil goes back up a little gas follows immediately….WEIRD

One step closer to the end.

I beg to differ. As soon as there is an upset in the market they ALL raise there prices.
They didn't just fill their tanks already, did they? So it must not of been that. ?

It almost always comes down to price and what the consumer is willing to pay.

One can convince themselves otherwise. LOL And feel warm and fuzzy paying the jacked up prices.

Remember the day/day after 911. Perhaps before your time. Prices at the pump soared dollars per gallon. And stayed elevated for days. Sure wasn't in response to what they were being charged for the fuel in their tanks.

It is all about the dollar. I don't try to fool myself or justify otherwise. I would rather not be warm and fuzzy. My dollars are hard to come by. Not on the dole. LOL But that is a topic for another day.

Carry on.
