It's all good guys! Mr. Prez said gas will drop to less than $2/gal after the midterms. Combined with the $5k Doge check, $2k Tariff checks, and (possibly) another $5k dividend check, we should be SMILING going into Christmas!


That's assuming all that actually happens, of course.

There is an element of truth in this but it doesn’t account for business owners , farmers etc The price of fuel comes directly out of the bottom line

Business owners and farmers can be debt free. I know several of each category and they do very well for themselves. Those with debt are in a more precarious position in my estimation.

You would never believe the amount of traffic on Thursday thru Monday that passes through Payson. You would think gas is $1.00 and diesel is $1.10 a gallon right now.
Pickups pulling campers/toy haulers, motorhomes with their SxS's on back. They come this way every weekend to get out of the heat in the Valley (Phoenix area).
It is crazy traffic.

Even w/a full summer of fairly cruddy fishing there's been no shortage of boats on Devils Lake.

Not taking a shot @ you DC, honest questions below and a few comments regarding some of the issues I would personally use as a compare/contrast regarding how another might have done the job differently better/worse.

Whom do you believe would have:

1. Shut the border down to the same level it is currently. Hasn't been this low since Eisenhower so it should be a fairly short list of folks who'd have the same commitment. Regan gave amnesty to ~3Million and California has voted strongly super-majority Democrat ever since.

2. Vastly curtailed Russia and China's influence on this (Western) Hemisphere? Venezuela has been in free-fall since Chavez-'92 and nobody did squat.

3. Used the power of the US Economy as leverage to return jobs as well as vastly increase foreign investment inside the US rather than off-shoring? The US has been hemorrhaging middle-class mining and manufacturing jobs since Nixon started the normalization of relations with China in '72 and Carter dotted the I'd and crossed the T's in '79. Electronics and automobile manufacturing was bleeding to Japan even before that.

Davey, whom in your view would've done a better job on those 3 issues? I'm not asking for 1 person, Each issue can have it's own "problem solver".

Again, I'm not bashing you nor discounting your opinion one bit, just wanting to hear whom was bullied out (or didn't even run) that would have all of us in a better place today.

I've flown to Destin/Pensacola every year since 2008 for 250-450 per ticket....now they're over a thousand. My flight from Minot to Johannesburg usually runs 1700-2200 this year its gonna be 3600!

Also, I'm all for job creation but I feel we should be more creative on job creation than the path we have taken. I see nothing wrong with importing if quality and safety standards are in place. If I can stretch my dollar by 50% or more by buying an imported item I'm all in. Technology is a great job creator , that's where we are lacking in this world. Just my honest opinion .

Some of the crazy stuff my boy shipped home from China trade shows were crazy. They were mostly small items and kids toys . All high tech Items that we don't see for sale in the US and cheap prices.

I think about countries in the world , The mentality and progress of some are still BC. Others still in the 1500s etc . I'd put US technology in the 1960s compared to rest of the world. Quality of life we are doing very well but we can do way better but we need leadership in technology.

It's a different atmosphere down in that neck of the woods, The economy seems it always has been better than in ND judging by old money. I was there when fuel was so high and the economy was bad here in ND and brought my diesel to a diesel shop for injectors problems. They had a dyno almost like a car wash that would print out HP curve sheets, kids to adults , that thing was in operation every time i was there . and the lot was full of diesels waiting for upgrades. An example of economy , 10 % of the people have 90% of the money .
