Fuel costs are rising and definitely becoming more expensive. In my opinion, fuel is cost of operating the vehicle, in other words, if the fuel expense is outside someone's budget they may need to reconsider if owning/operating that vehicle makes financial sense also.

Deferred another words its paid on the form for fuel tax on ones tax return for 2025 and pay it next spring. In other words pay it as a lump sum. "while Treasury explores whether the deferred tax obligation can ultimately be eliminated". Its so baby boomer.

Is it really going to make a huge difference for the farmers as the fuel in the field is already dyed without tax. We have the big spenders and borrowers and January we get the taxers.
