In a lake with no dam or true outlet.
I have no idea what the water levels are like or were like back in April and May.
Total and complete egg die off seems unlikely. However, I thought a lot of the fish spawned up in the ditches and shallower lakes/sloughs feeding into DL? Those could see a lot more fluctuation in elevation at that time of year than the main lake. But like I said, Im not up there, so my 2 cents is worth zero cents on this subject.
The incubation period is temperature dependent and 2 weeks seems like it would be on the short end of the range and could be as long as a month. Given the fact that the actual spawn takes place over the course of weeks (some drop eggs 1-3 weeks before others), I think you could say that the critical period for eggs could range up to 30-45 days. But, again Im not the DL biologist so just some armchair data to feed the discussion.
