Well I do love to ice fish I still prefer the other three seasons of the year over winter. Yesterday signaled the crossing of the hump and from here on atleast in Bismarck the average highs and lows are now getting warmer every day instead of colder! Still a long ways to go but atleast we are now headed in the right direction.

I am not done ice fishing yet. Been too busy to get out as much as I want. The thought of fishing in 70 + degree weather does sound good after this stretch of harsh cold though. Hi Wags:;:howdy

It is almost 40 in Dickinson right now, streets are a wet mess.

Makes me anxious for spring, even though I have only ice fished 4 times this year so far.

time is flying by, soon be cock season again

comments containing the comedic notions of phallic objects shall be thrust in your general direction until we are satisfied.

Sad to admit it but I'm already thinking about big late ice pike.

Man my brain has been stuck on them ever since I tangled with a roughly 20 pounder a couple weeks ago down at cattail! Ice was crystal clear so when its head was part way past the right side of my Kenai its tail was well past on the left. They big ones look so fricking cool when they come up and you realize a ten inch auger may have been a better idea then the 8!

When I was younger my cousin and I used to get into them in the creeks out east of sweetwater. Man that was such a blast partly because we got so many but partly because it was just such simple type of fishing. no boat or electronics no nothing just a rod and a bunch of psychotic fish in a creek. It to this day gets the blood pressure to spike when I see a monster pike in a creek small enough I can jump across it!
