We noticed it fishing the big windy this spring. Buddy has it in the snobear, and at some points the fish were coming in, and would act like they were headed to the bait, then hit the line and bolted back the other direction. Fishing about 10-15 fow under the 4 feet of ice.

I have had the exact same experience on Winnipeg @johnr in both 2022 & 2025. I've even seen it as bad as fish swimming around the beam in forward view. For this reason we now scan a 360 and won't fish the area unless we count above a certain number of fish. From there, we transition to flashers and hole hop.
