Spent the weekend in a sleeper on Red Lake. Lows over night were -27 and the windchill was -redunkulous...

How redunkulous you ask? Enough to freeze brandy. To me, that is too damn cold:

I didn't know you could freeze brandy, now that is cold.

Mom used to keep the booze bottles in the freezer, just so she could tell if we added water to em. Ice in the jug, we added water to cover up a sneaking of drinks, no ice; the booze was pure...haha... Don't ask how I know.

To be fair, it wasn't completely frozen. More of a brandy slushy that was so thick it couldn't be poured through the plastic topper thingy. I thought about removing the plastic, but was worried drinking the supercooled liquid would give me frostbite on my insides.

About 3 years I went on a group trip up to LOW. It was a brutal one as one of our cronies had a bottle of vodka on the porch that froze up. I think it was -31 that morning.
