@guywhofishes, if you go the 10" route, gonna be eating batteries pretty good when ice gets about 15" +
I have the 8.5" kdrill, plenty big for fish we got around here. If Winnipeg destination, the 10" would be nice.

Remove the handy dandy bolt in the collar with an allen wrench and swap bits.
Maybe carry a drill to make removing the bolt faster

I noticed there is an Allen wrench stored in the bottom of my sm40. Of course when I attached the kdrill I used a socket and ratchet.

I have all three k-drill sizes

I've occasionally longed for a bigger hole when sight-fishing, Vexilar puck getting wrapped up repeatedly by hyper-panfish, etc.

I often drill two holes for hyper fish that swim in circles like bluegills - one to fish out of and one for the puck

The lakes I fish dont seem to have any pan fish, primarily sauger, walleye, and pike.
Would hate getting them fancy dancers all waded up on my set up.

For sure, but at least there is some weight there to fiddle with.
