The Milwaukee 12 volt lantern does well lighting up the ice house.

I have been using a flashlight type light, hanging it from the center beam. But is not always reliable, sometimes lights up nice, other times it seems to time out and shut off when it feels like it.

What sort of light system do you guys run. Those LED string lights seem like a good idea, but do they stick on the pole without popping off, and do they put enough light?

I like this option, as I have a few Milwaukee tools, and a few of them batteries. Do you hang it from your center pole to light up the entire shack, or do you set it on the ice by your holes?
I hang it in my Eskimo Hub and Clam Fish Trap. You can also adjust the lantern so it's a floodlight. The lantern has a USB charger port too.

Does a Milwaukee battery also fit the Strikemaster 40V ice auger?

I'm hopefully gonna ditch my hub for good and live out of a flip-over.

This^^^ I think I am in the minority. But, i am not a big hub fan. It's sorta a pain to pack up all the shit every time you move. As a semi permanent option I get it.

Smaller flip over for days you want to be mobile, bigger hub for days you want to camp out and relax.

I do like the looks of the newer Eskimo hubs and the new accessories that slide onto the hubs. Ill have to see those in person to decide how the functionality/sturdiness of the accessories actually look though.

I agree it’s all situational. I bought mine due to kids, but have enjoyed just setting up and relaxing. And honestly I don’t think I’m catching any less staying vs running and gunning. But I’m still using the ol FL8, maybe with this fancy live imaging the run and gun would be the way to go!

I set my hub up 2 times last year out of the 30 or so days I fished. It was the first year I had Livescope. Instead of setting up the house I'd end up with a grid of holes that I'd jump around to following fish. Just couldn't sit in one place anymore and wait for them to come to me!

I just got the eskimo e-hub tray and rattle reel for my birthday. I'm probably going to install the connectors sometime after rifle season so we will see how it works out. The tray and rattle reel seem pretty well built. I also ordered two more connectors so I can have the option to put them on 4 different hubs. Maybe I'll order two more so I have them on all the hubs, we shall see.

I have the battery fan that was an option on the buddy heater, it never worked right from the beginning. This might be the way to go, does it seem to work pretty good?
This is way better than the fan that comes with the Buddy and it is SILENT! I'm pretty sure it works on magic. Moves a good amount of air.

Geez , checked price on Menards site cause I figured they would have. For a 2 blade, $111.00 when tossed in your cart. Yikes . . .
