@guywhofishes, if you go the 10" route, gonna be eating batteries pretty good when ice gets about 15" +
I have the 8.5" kdrill, plenty big for fish we got around here. If Winnipeg destination, the 10" would be nice.

I have all three k-drill sizes

I've occasionally longed for a bigger hole when sight-fishing, Vexilar puck getting wrapped up repeatedly by hyper-panfish, etc.

I often drill two holes for hyper fish that swim in circles like bluegills - one to fish out of and one for the puck

The lakes I fish dont seem to have any pan fish, primarily sauger, walleye, and pike.
Would hate getting them fancy dancers all waded up on my set up.

Before I bought the Strikemaster 40 Lite I was running a brushless DeWalt and an Eskimo flight and let 'er rip. No issues, fastest cutting setup I've run. But I had the worry of it catching at the bottom of the hole and sending me for a ride. Now that I own the Strikemaster I don't have that concern of ripping my wrists apart.....call me weak or woke if you want to lol I don't care. It might take me 15 seconds more to drill a hole, worth it to me.
The strikemaster will end in the same result as well, gas or electric with the Mora blades. I ran Mora for years. I can’t say how or when, but it still happens. I was Mora for as long as I’ve been an electric drill on an auger guy. The Mora system is the fastest and smoothest cutting system ever….until you hit a a pebble in the ice.

I went with the Eskimo 450 XD after scheels did a price match. After receiving it, I did see how the original bag could be a pain so for those looking for a full zipper bag instead of the Eskimo bag I did purchase this one that comes with the full zipper and my 450 does fit in it for $24.99
