I own land with very good deer habitat on it and i have never had a issue with the problem you are whining about. Yes, i have people driving by a lot during rifle season i just dont let it bother me anymore. 99 percent aren't the people you are allegedly dealing with, have you taken your harris waltz signs down yet?Nice attack on a person with a genuine problem. maybe you will have a similar situation one day. Maybe we need a law that any landowner who denies a lawful hunter entry to recover legally killed game be charged with wanton waste?I’ve been on the hunter side of a wounded deer entering posted land, had a massive blood trail going into posted land. Knocked on door, denied access. Called game warden, he was denied entry. Deer was left. Century code trumped game laws. Nice try weaver.
This I likeMaybe we need a law that any landowner who denies a lawful hunter entry to recover legally killed game be charged with wanton waste?
I would have fought this since during deer season, a hunter is legally allowed to enter private property unarmed to retrieve a wounded animal. Unless I'm wrong precedents has been established during hunting season to deter game to go wasted where as a game warden who witnesses this shot could give a ticket to a hunter for not legally retrieving the wounded deer even though it's on posted property.I’ve been on the hunter side of a wounded deer entering posted land, had a massive blood trail going into posted land. Did the warden let you keep your tag?I’ve been on the hunter side of a wounded deer entering posted land, had a massive blood trail going into posted land. Knocked on door, denied access. Called game warden, he was denied entry. Deer was left. Century code trumped game laws. Nice try weaver.
Not me.I like the idea of charging land owners for wanton waste if don't allow hunters to retrieve.
Kept the tag, landowner was a non hunterDid the warden let you keep your tag?
Just curious if he made you give up your season, guessing he could have?
Also that land owner should be ashamed of himself.
