I HATE coyotes!!!!

[SupressYourself]

Beans are coming out, but still a lot of corn out there. I only did 3 stands Friday night. That was enough to find one participant.

This thread has given me LOTS and LOTS of happy in the face. Much thanks to those posting stuff.

Just finished about 2 1/2 days in central SD. It was good to get out in the daylight again.
We shot 26.

I knew it was going to be good when we had 4 coyotes come together on the very first stand, and we got all 4 of them.

Later, we had 6 come all together, but only managed 3. My buddy and I both shot the same yote on the first volley. It was that giant alpha male in the middle.

Shortest shot was 67 yards. Longest was 526. I'm pointing to the hill I was laying on. The coyote just flopped right over. The 22 Creedmoor with the 75 Hornady ELDM really is something special.

Nice work !

Decent hides looks like.
May even make a few bucks this year?

Some of them were very nice. Like that middle coyote in the pic of 3. He was a beast. I almost thought about dragging him out. Almost...

Fur market appears to be lookn much better.

I sure hope the prices are better: we need more coyotes taken off the landscape--helps a lot of birds/animals. Sure, there are some hardcore furbearer hunters/trappers, but that doesn't take enough animals. Good prices will help!

If I could get 20 a coyote I would be happy and it would pay for a thermal scanner

The 2 guys I have talked to this year made it sound like the fur market is up a bit for everything but coyotes.
