Hi, I'm a young (25 yrs old) respectful fisherman living in Minot N.D. Always looking for a way to get out on the water but spend 98% of my time confined to shore, which I don't mind at all during the spring and fall migrations (souris river) but these dog-days of summer are really getting to me. I would love to gas up someone's boat and get out on the water somewhere we can pull a few eyes in! Always nice to make friends with similar interests.

HAHA your right I should be careful with how I say things don't have the 200$ to fill both those bad boys but I can deffy throw down 60-70$ to pay for the gas for a quick fishing trip

Yep I did until 10th grade when I decided to get my G.E.D so I could work full time. I believe I was supposed to be class of 09?

Go to the zoo, and cast small X-raps under the bridge at night. Retrieve with an erratic twitch and reel. should have no problem getting a limit of 5 nice eyes. use pearl white, or green & white, fire tiger, etc.

HEY THANKS! good advice MSA - I didn't get my limit of eyes but I tried under the bridge at the treatment plant from about 4:45am-6:30 I lost a X-RAP and 2 other cranks but I caught a tangle of line with a spoon, a jig with a twister tail and someone else's crank all wrapped up in it so that worked out! ended up C&R 4 pike and kept a nice 20in or so walleye for breakfast Can't beat fresh walleye for breakfast!!

Okay im a believer that there are still big walleye around in town. Caught this nice thick 23incher in about 30 minutes throwing a big bright firetigher floating crank at the zoo spillway, that makes 2 nice ones today not a limit but good enough for me they both tasted damn good! :;:thumbsup

Theres more than just nice fish in town....theres ten pound pigs that get pulled out in minot every year.

Ive seen alot of nice ones april this year when the zoo was elbow to elbow with fisherman but I've been having a really hard time of it most of summer... the pike bite lasted for a good while but now it seems like thats mainly just early mornings. havent tried to much after dark but I will be now. going back to the zoo around 9 tonight and will stay till midnight or so, earlier if i get my limit.
