Lake Contour Maps

Does anyone know if the the Garmin interactive maps that the Game and Fish has for PLOTS contains lake contours of the area lakes. Was thinking of going out this weekend, but I don't want to just drill a bunch of holes trying to find the drop offs and sunken islands.

Seems as though most lakes that have a boat ramp have a contour map. Other than that I don't think so.

The NDGF Garmin maps do include contours. They're not 1ft by any means, but it'll get you close. Navionics app on a smartphone/tablet comes in handy too

+1 for Navionics app on the phone. I have used that and the fishidy app as well as the NDGF app.

I downloaded the free Navionics Boating app on my smart phone, but there's no contours on any of the lake maps. I did the two week free trial. Do you have to buy the full version of it for 19.99?

I bought mine a few years ago so maybe the price changed, back then I paid $5. But since then I have looked on the desktop website, which is really handy, and see that there are new to me waters that I have or planned to fish that are now on there. That is where the NDGF and Fishidy Free app's have come in so far.

I have the pay version, but it should be the same with the freebie. Tap the Navionics button (bottom left, just above the map cursor button that takes you to your current position). When you do, there should be 3 options: Govt. chart, Navionics, or Sonar Chart. If you're not seeing contours, you're either in Govt. chart mode or the lake you are trying to look at isn't mapped.
