Went out looking for a very rare critter this morning- turkeys in Mountrail County. South of bridge, casino ramp is clear and lake is open shore to shore maybe 1.5 miles south of bridge and looked like another big patch open a couple miles south of there. North of the bridge, ice is taking on that dark slate grey look and has some cracks. A few miles west, the ice is still more white than grey but that will change quickly. Large channel opening west end of Antelope flat and runs shore to shore. Should go quick next 3 days

Went up for a flight test this morning. Ended up heading East from Fargo, but every single body of water except Big Cormorant was completely open.
